The challenge
Expired stock is lost money and a risk to patients.
Finding an item and its batch must be instant.
Bonus goods on purchases distort cost if counted wrong.
A day in HisabMate
Purchase
An antibiotic (625 mg) arrives in two batches: Batch A, 40 packs, expiring March 2027, and Batch B, 30 packs, expiring January 2027. A few packs of an older Batch C expired in September 2026.
At the counter
When the item is billed, Batch B — the nearest expiry — is recommended first, so older stock leaves before newer stock.
Expired stock
Batch C cannot be sold: the server refuses it even if someone picks it. It can still be moved or adjusted for return to the supplier.
Every morning
Near-expiry alerts list what to sell or return first, and the expiring-stock report shows it batch by batch.
Example figures only.
The solution
The modules below come set up for your business — and every other HisabMate module is there when you need it.
Built for pharmacies and FMCG: every lot tracked to its expiry.
Two counters: a classic POS for detailed bills and a touch-first Fast POS for busy shops.
Stock that is always right — by item, unit, batch and location.
Buy right, at the right rate, and keep every supplier balance clear.
The software tells you what needs attention.
Scan what the manufacturer printed, or print your own.
60+ reports, each with print, PDF and CSV.
Your staff do what you allow — and every deletion is on record.
Intelligence built in
At the counter the batch closest to expiry goes out first. Expired stock is excluded from what you can sell, and the server refuses it even if a screen does not.
Weighted average cost is recalculated on every purchase and frozen onto each sale line — so profit by invoice, product and customer is real, bonus goods included.
Rules per product, category or location for low stock, reorder and expiry — checked every morning. An alert stays until the problem is fixed, not until someone clicks it away.
