How to Choose Business Software in Pakistan: A Buyer’s Checklist
There are many software options in Pakistan, and most demos look good. The right choice depends on how your business actually runs. Use this checklist in every demo — and test it with your own items and your own customers before you decide.

1. Does it fit your industry?
- Retail: fast billing, barcodes, credit customers, discounts, thermal receipts
- Distribution: salesman order booking, schemes like 10+1, cartons and pieces, load sheets, route recovery
- Pharmacy: batch and expiry on every purchase, nearest-expiry first, expiry alerts
- Installments: automatic schedules, guarantor details, oldest-installment-first payments, recovery routes
2. Will the numbers be right?
- Does every sale reduce stock immediately?
- Is profit worked out from real cost, including bonus goods?
- Can a payment be saved twice if the internet drops?
- Does a sale save completely or not at all?
3. Who can see and do what?
- Can you give each staff member only the screens and actions they need?
- Are those permissions checked on the server, or only hidden on the screen?
- Is there a record of deleted bills and changed prices?
4. Does it work the way Pakistan works?
- Urdu interface, and Urdu names that print correctly
- Works on an Android phone as well as a PC
- Prints to 58 mm and 80 mm thermal printers, including from a phone

5. How easy is it to start?

6. Test it before you decide
